Light Phone III Production Update - April 9, 2025

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share that all pre-order customers received an important email today from Light Phone regarding production updates for the Light Phone III. Here's a summary of the key points:

Main Updates:

Due to ongoing trade war and tariff issues, Light Phone is relocating their production
This will cause approximately an 8-week delay (production expected to resume in early June)
Pre-order prices remain unchanged - Light Phone is absorbing all tariff costs
They've been duplicating the assembly line which will help speed up production once resumed

For customers who already received address confirmation emails:

A second email is coming with specific information
Some phones were shipped before the tariffs took effect and are still on their way
Others will receive updated delivery windows

For customers who haven't received address confirmation yet:

These emails are temporarily paused until a precise production plan is established
Production and shipping expected to resume at full capacity in early June
All orders will be fulfilled as quickly as possible from June through August

One important clarification:

Some customers will receive an email saying "No Delay"
This means your order is not affected by the 8-week relocation delay
Your phone is either already in the US or in transit to the US
If you received the "No Delay" email, your phone will arrive as originally scheduled
