What the heck? That seems really cool! Maybe I'll have an excuse to pull out my FPGC... I haven't used it in forever lol.

If you have a big enough Gameboy collection and really like the console, I'd say go for it. It's significantly better than any overpriced mod, and has all the best features. USB-C is especially nice.
I'm mainly a GBA guy, so I have no idea why I got it, but toying with it was super fun! I played it a lot on work breaks, and it wowed everyone. I really can't wait until they drop the FPGBA, that's when I'll go crazy.

Sounds like a plan, I guess the price is probably why I impulse bought it. 85 bucks fully loaded is nuts. I hope stuff like this continues for all retro consoles and handhelds, because they're getting too expensive, and finding high quality parts is getting harder and harder.

Got around to watching the video, and holy WOW does this seem fun! The kits will probably be ungodly expensive, but I own a FPGBC, so I could probably skirt a lot of the costs. Taking photos that way seems really fun, and is sort of similar to what I envisioned a LP2 camera might look like, haha. Imagine that weird alternate universe.
I might look to do this if I can worm my way into an urban area. Shooting crappy, low res pics with whimsical Nintendo fun and sharing it with people. It sounds so fun! Imagine doing this on one of your little boat rides.

Hahaha yes! That would be fun taking some pictures with that camera on the boat!
I've always been fascinated by unusual cameras, and this one definitely caught my attention!
Another recent discovery of mine is the Casio "Petit Colle" (interestingly named in French, though with a spelling mistake! ). It's a camera with a built-in thermal printer, but unfortunately it was only sold in Japan, making it extremely difficult to find in Europe these days. https://www.vintagedigitalcameras.com/casio#zr-1

All photography is fun.
In all honesty, I do like that it changes the way we capture the world.
