Saw this little forum and instantly had to join - kudos to the creator(s). I think this will be a great alternative to the Discord server and hope that it catches on.
I'm currently eagerly awaiting my Light Phone III to ship out during the April 8th-15th window. :shock: In the mean time, I'm trying to spend more of my mornings off the internet, which has been really nice. I currently use a Ketai Digno A202KC, which has been a fun phone to use but ultimately falls short in a few ways. The LPIII will be perfect with great, as well as reduced, functionality and (hopefully) calling that actually works 100% of the time lol .
Curious as to what others are doing as they await their LPIIIs - please feel free to share! I feel like we all must have different approaches to what we want our lives to (or to continue to) as we go Light.

Amazing EarthBound picture, nice to see another man of culture. Have you played Mother 3, or just EB? Mother 3 is one of my favorite games of all time.
Gosh, this is slowly starting to feel like an actual community. When I'm in a more stable position, I'd love to help edit and manage the forum myself. I can totally see this blossoming into a lovely little community.

Thanks! I have indeed played Mother 3, and I'd have to agree on it being one of my all time favorites. It is such a beautiful work of passion. Always good to see other Mother fans in the wild haha.
I hope this forum blossoms as well, it's been so long since I've been involved in one as well. Wish there were more around rather than Discord/Reddit/whatever else there might be for groups of people.
That's amazing! The final battle genuinely had me bawling for 30 minutes when I replayed it a few years ago. Phenomenal game, I think it's an experience many in this space would enjoy.
Indeed! Seeing that you have a NeoCities site, I assume you're a part of, or at least aware of the Indie/Small Web movement? That's something I think people in this space would appreciate as well.

That game had me crying at quite a few moments - genuinely very touching characters and story. The ending definitely hit hard, though.
And yeah! I am aware of it for sure, though I'm not sure I know all there is to know. Just that it exists and that I really like the general dogma of the movement. Considering it involves more thoughtful use of the web, I definitely think people in the community would generally jive with it.

I sold my LP2 a while back to get ahead of what I presumed would ben an influx of phones available after the LP3 started shipping, so I've been using my old iPhone in the mean time. My review on that experience is "Ugh!" I miss the Light Phone 2 so much.

Yeah it's so very close, I'm just trying to not worry about it at this point. The Digno has been awesome, but since it's made for Japan the signal here really sucks and sometimes calls (even important ones) will randomly not be able to use my microphone, so I have to call back multiple times until it works. It also crashes quite a bit. It's a shame, because I'm sure in Japan it works a hell of a lot better. Still, it's been great compared to my old iPhone lol and quite the conversation starter.
I've started doing crosswords to pass my time as well. Hopefully I'll have time to read again soon. Hope we both get our LPIII's earlier in the window!
